Follow these 5 simple steps to ensure your laptop’s optimal battery performance:

  1. Do not try to disassemble, crush, puncture, or drop your laptop.
  2. Recharge batteries only as described in this manual and only in ventilated areas. Never use an external charger other than the one supplied with your laptop.
  3. Do not leave your laptop in hot environments.
  4. Do not leave the laptop plugged in for long periods of time at once.

We have a few simple suggestions when you first get started:

  1. Using the wrong AC power could damage your laptop. Never pull directly on the power cable to unplug it. Hold the power plug when removing the cable from the outlet.
  2. To avoid data loss, never turn off the laptop while a drive is in use.
  3. When turning on the laptop for the first time, do not turn it off until the operating system has loaded completely.
  4. If system errors occurred, you can press ctrl+alt+del to enter the End Task menu or you can press the power button for 8 seconds to turn the laptop off.

Fans will start running to prevent the unit from overheating. If you hear fans, please make sure that you are not using the unit in direct sunlight or extreme heat – the unit should only be used in ambient temperatures between 41 and 95 degrees fahrenheit. Also, make sure that there is nothing obstructing the air vents – this will impede airflow to the laptops internal parts causing overheating.

This is likely because you do not have the appropriate SD card reader drive installed. You can find a guide to install the most up-to-date drive here.

In order to activate an external monitor, simply:

  1. Make sure the unit is connected properly to the video input of the desktop.
  2. Press FN and Display Toggle Function at the same time to activate.

There are a few ways to connect your device to the internet. The laptop is compatible with:

  1. WIFI wireless connection.
  2. ADSL or 3G/CDMA modem while you are traveling.
  3. Modem via USB or LAN connection.

This might occur if you want to do one of the following:

  1. An error message appears on the screen during the system booting up and is requested to run SETUP.
  2. You want to change the default settings for customized features.
  3. You want to reload the default BIOS settings.

Simply boot up the laptop using the power key and during the POST procedure (after the Windows icon appears) press the [Del] key to boot BIOS Setup Utility. Follow on-screen instructions for further instruction.
